International Sport-for-Development

Sport for development and peace: a global conference
In 2022, SDP researchers from 13 universities took part in a conference entitled: Sport, Development and Peace: Current Challenges, Global Developments.
This global, concurrent SDP event saw scholars present live from four continents spread across five time zones. The event was organised by Joel Rookwood (University College Dublin) and Michael Holmes (Catholic University of Lille).
Contributors are currently working on an edited collection entitled Sport, Development and Peace: Critical Global Challenges (Palgrave, 2025).
This research relates to the Sport and International Development module at UCD.
